The Gemini Telescopes are twin 8-meter telescopes, located at Mauna Kea, Hawaii in the north, and Cerro Pachon, Chile, in the south.

Detailed information about the Gemini telescopes and their instruments should be obtained directly from the Gemini website.

Proposal Information

The University of Hawaii is host to the Gemini North Telescope, and has a guaranteed fraction of the observing time on this telescope. Proposals for observing time are solicited twice per year. University of Hawaii astronomers are also strongly encouraged to apply for US observing time on Gemini South through the NOAO Gemini Science Center.
